We want to make sure our guests get the genuine Poteet-grown berry. All local berries are in boxes which state "Fresh Produce-Poteet, Texas" during Festival Weekend. The Poteet growers also have locations on the Festival Grounds to sell their berries.
Or you can visit our Growers page to contact the farms directly.

I've been a farmer for over 65 years. Though I've grown practically every
crop possible, it wasn't until 1945 when I started growing strawberries. I sharecropped strawberries up until the late 1950's when I was then able to get a well drilled on my own land. Being a small farmer has been very rewarding in many ways and I have no regrets. I have especially enjoyed growing strawberries. Within the past 15 years I became interested in farming naturally without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Because I grow strawberries on a small scale, I have been able to experiment with natural growing means, and I am very content with the results. Healthy living and maintaining a healthy environment is important to me. You may see us selling by the roadside. To reserve your order of strawberries from us, call 210-440-3649 or 210-778-7778. |
