| WHAT: | The 61st Annual Poteet Strawberry FestivalŪ. |

| Friday, Saturday, Sunday, April 11, 12, and 13, 2008. |
| WHERE: | The Poteet Strawberry Festival Grounds are located 30 minutes south of San Antonio on Texas Highway 16 and includes free parking. The Festival Grounds will open at 6:00 PM Friday and at 10:00 AM both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free on Friday evening. On Saturday and Sunday adults only ay $10.00. Children age 12 and under are admitted free of charge. Gate admission covers all stage entertainment on the Festival Grounds---the best entertainment package in Texas! Bring your families and friends, but please leave the pets at home. |
| WHO: | Featured at the 2008 Berry Bash will be nationally known country stars in addition to topflight tejano entertainers. Also appearing will be professional talent on 13 other entertainment stages. Saturday's highlight will be the 2008 Strawberry Judging Contest followed at 2:00 PM by the 2008 Strawberry Auction. Other weekend attractions include an Arts & Crafts Show, the Festival Rodeo, nightly dances, and the Taste of Texas Food Show and Auction, demonstrations, commercial exhibits, and the Alamo Attractions Carnival. |
| WHY: | The Annual Poteet Strawberry Festival is one of the largest and most popular festivals in Texas and was chosen as one of the Top 250 Events in the nation. With crowds exceeding 100,000 annually, it pours between $10-$12 million into the South Texas economy, a most welcome economic boost for the area. Strictly a non-profit organization, the Festival Association funds scholarships to graduating seniors in addition to supporting community projects. The Festival Association is composed of seven Poteet civic organizations and coordinated by a 15-member Board of Directors along with approximately 8,000 volunteers.
